DragonDiva Operatic Theatre creates high calibre opera that is accessible to both opera lovers and future enthusiasts. We foster an environment where artists are encouraged to learn from each other by engaging a blend of community members, students and emerging professionals.
Formed in 2007 for our premiere production, The Pirates of Penzance, DragonDiva is quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with. John Arsenault, founding Music Director, and Jeanine Fynn, founding Artistic Director, have both discovered the joy that producing and directing can bring. Our cast of students, professionals and community participants performed to a sold out house for five of our six shows, with glowing audience reviews - some even returned for a second and third viewing! We offer high end community theatre at a reasonable price, in the hopes that we will draw a new audience into the world of opera.
We are grateful to the members of the community who have helped us as we begin to spread our wings, especially the Vagabond Players and The Arts Council of New Westminster.
